This and That Thursday: One Sea Shell
What is it about being on the beach that compels us to reach down and pick up sea shells? It seems so instinctual but I don’t know what function that particular instinct serves and I don’t remember learning about that in any class. Perhaps it is the same instinct that children have for picking wild flowers and collecting rocks. And maybe its function is to remind us of the beauty that God has surrounded us with. The shells that I find usually look the same as every other shell I’ve picked up, but I still pick it up and look at it, and some go into my pocket and make it home with me.
I think that picking up seashells is the same passion that I have for surrounding myself with images that I love, photos of places I’ve been, moments I’ve had, and people I love. Like seashells, you can never have enough of those favorite images, new ones mixed with the old ones. Call Crouse Photography today to schedule a session for new photos.
