Exploring. Taking roads not traveled. Finding new places. Add a sunshine. Bring a camera. There was even a dirt road. Now I’ve got joy. I headed out to find my “photo of the day” for the 366 Photography Project and discovered a park that I had not been to previously. No other vehicle was in the parking lot and I saw no one else while there. What I did find was a pleasant walk in the woods of Williamsburg, a stream, wooden bridges that crossed the stream, deer prints, and the tapping of a wood pecker. I also saw a few daffodils that had opened their bright heads.
My day got even better as I was photographing the daffodils. As their heads bend forward and towards the ground, I had to lie down in the mud to try to get better shots. They were on a slight embankment, which meant that I tended to roll down the hill when I adjusted my position. For me, this added to the fun of it. As no one was there to see me, I was able to laugh at myself and enjoy frolicking in the park. Now you know some of what it’s like to “get the shot.”
What signs of spring are you seeing?
Enjoy my daffodils! The one on the bottom is my photo of the day.
